Only one game in the NHL tonight, as the San Jose Sharks continue their road trip along the East Coast with a visit to Madison Square Garden, facing off against the New York Rangers.Making his season debut with the Rangers tonight is Antti Raanta, who will also give Benson a start tonight. Unfortunately, Benson didn't qualify for the goalie survivor pool out of the gate, so it really has no bearing on that announcement at all.
On the flip side of the coin, Martin Jones will get another start for the Sharks and he does have a bearing on the goalie survivor pool, as Scott has continued onto Week Three and he gets his first shot at qualifying for Week Four. Between Jones and St. Louis' Jake Allen, Scott has five potential opportunities to move on to next week.
Only one game on the schedule makes for a short and sweet post, doesn't it?
