Broken Finger for Michalek

The Ottawa Senators were dealt a big blow to their forward ranks, as Milan Michalek left last night's game with an apparent hand injury, which he reportedly suffered from Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. Well, the news on the injury came in first thing and it is a broken index finger and the team expects him to be out indefinitely.

It wouldn't be too surprising if the 31-year old would be back in about a month's time from this injury, but being as though it is an important finger, it could run just a little bit longer.

In 24 games played this season, Michalek ranks 292nd in pool scoring with 5 goals and 8 points, also collecting 10 PIM in the process.

This season, the Czech forward belongs to Jeremy in the pool and we are currently waiting on his decision on who he wants to pick up for Michalek today.  There was a pretty good chance that he was going to run with the status quo for his team, but this injury came at almost the right time... besides being an injury, of course.
