Goalie Announcements (Dec 17)

11 more games on the docket and only one of those games has implications on the survivor pool, at least from the outset.

Cam Talbot (Brian) will get a chance to play spoiler in the survivor pool, as the Edmonton Oilers roll into Chicago to take on the Blackhawks, who will be throwing Corey Crawford back into the crease.  Stuart will be the only one of the two remaining unqualified teams to have a goalie going.  This likely won't be the last kick at the can for Crawford, since the Hawks have two more games this weekend, which means he should start in one of them.

The New York Islanders only have two more games going this week and they are planning on splitting the duties, as Thomas Greiss (Eric) gets the nod tonight in Colorado, taking on Semyon Varlamov (Kristy & Don), a spoiler earlier in the week.

We've got a few more notable starts worth mentioning as well, so we'll have a look at those.  Al Montoya gets a call from the Panthers coaching staff tonight, getting the nod against Cory Schneider (Troy) and the Devils.  Garret Sparks (Ryan) gets back in the Maple Leafs' net tonight, as they host Martin Jones (Scott) and the Sharks at the Air Canada Centre.  Mike Condon (John R.) returns to the starting role for the Habs at home, with Jonathan Quick (Brenda & Seward) in town for a visit.  Antti Raanta (Benson) will go for the Rangers tonight, on the first half of back-to-back nights, and he'll get the returning Devan Dubnyk (Derek W.), back in the Minnesota net tonight.

There are a few non-pool goalies going tonight, including one game with two non-pool goalies at either end... the later game, between the Blue Jackets and Coyotes, as they will both be starting their usual back-ups, thanks to injured starters.  There will be no pool points from either Curtis McElhinney or Anders Lindback tonight.

Still, there will be lots of points to be had tonight and there should be some semi-regular updates on the standings page tonight.
