Goalie Announcements (Dec 13)

No new news in the survivor pool today, so we'll move right to the three games on the schedule, giving everyone a head's up on what to expect tonight.

Three games, each an hour apart, starting at 3pm MT with the Devils taking on the Islanders.  It is Cory Schneider (Troy) likely (yet, not confirmed) taking on Thomas Greiss (Eric), which sounds about right, given that Long Island played last night as well.  Troy is right in the thick of the money talk, sitting in 6th heading into Sunday, only 6 points back.  Schneider won't likely get him into the money, but he'll get him close with a great result.

Game number two will feature the Avalanche in St. Louis to take on the Blues and this should be a very good goalie match-up, with Semyon Varlamov (Kristy & Don) taking on Jake Allen (Scott).  In all of the races this week, Scott is up there in the Mover & Shaker, thanks in large part to Allen, so a big win could earn him a couple of honours in tomorrow's Newsletter.

Finally, the Rogers Hometown Hockey game will feature the Vancouver Canucks into Chicago to take on the Blackhawks and we already know that it will be Ryan Miller (Clayton) taking on Corey Crawford (Stuart) in this one.  This is a match-up of two 1st round picks in the draft, but Clayton's goalie is not a part of the side bet with Stuart, John S. and Benson, which Stuart is far and away taking, thanks to some excellent work by Crawford.  This rivalry game will be a good one to watch tonight.
