Noon Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 8)
The Buffalo Sabres made a couple of roster moves on Monday, including the recall of goaltender Linus Ullmark, as they have listed Robin Lehner as being out day-to-day with an upper-body injury. There are some suggestions that Lehner took a shot up high, which may have struck him awkwardly and despite finishing the game on Sunday afternoon against the Flyers, he might be dealing with some post-game pains. There is nothing official from the team, other than the listing of the injury, so it might not be very serious, but you can imagine that Chad Johnson will likely get the net tomorrow, at home to the Jets, giving Lehner a much-needed day off.
Kristy & Don will likely be missing out on a goalie start with this move here, which is pretty big news up at the top of the standings. They open up the week in 4th place, 9 points out of the money and I'm sure they'd appreciate all the help they can get. Buffalo plays on Thursday, home to the Blue Jackets, so it will be very interesting to see if they get Lehner back for that game.
