It sounds as though Loui Eriksson will be good to go for the Dallas Stars tonight, as they take on division rival, Anaheim, on Wednesday night. Eriksson has been bothered by an upper-body injury of late and there is some suggestion that he might be dealing with concussion-like symptoms, although that is unconfirmed. If that does happen to be the case, I would think he would still need a couple more days on the shelf, due to the regular concussion protocol, that was already in place this season. That's just me being a stickler though.
The Vancouver Canucks are not expecting to have forward Mikael Samuelsson in their line-up for their game against the Red Wings, due to a lower-body issue that needs some attention. Samuelsson has taken some maintenance days since their last game, hoping that the injury would get better before getting worse, but that hasn't quite happened yet, so the team has called up Victor Oreskovich and will try to move one step closer to a conference title without Samuelsson.
On a more positive note, the Canucks will be expecting the return of Kevin Bieksa to their line-up, as he is now ready to return from a broken bone in his foot. The Canucks blueline has suffered a lot of injuries this season, but nothing too major since Bieksa's, so things must be looking up, right?
