We haven't even seen action in the second day of the pre-tournament games and we're already posting our third injury concern, how about that?
Swedish forward Marcus Kruger is dealing with an upper-body injury, stemming from Thursday's opener against Finland and he has now been ruled out for Saturday's return match, which will mean that Mikael Backlund will draw in to take his place. The injury doesn't sound significant, but it isn't quite the way the coaching staff would have preferred to have made a switch for Backlund, but that's why they have extras kicking around.
Kruger will be listed as out day-to-day with his upper-body injury and his availability for their last pre-tournament game will likely be decided when the team arrives in North America.
