Goalie Announcements (Sep 25)

Can the Europeans possibly upset the Swedes this afternoon in the second World Cup semi-final? Thanks to Jaroslav Halak, not taken in the pool (I cannot stress this enough), it is a certain possibility.  The 31-year old Slovak should be getting the call again today and why not?  He has been a rock in the net for the Europeans in this tournament, building a foundation where their group of players from misfit countries can excel and push forward.

Sure, on the other side today will be the Swedish super power, which will have the storied Henrik Lundqvist in net once again.  Lundqvist, taken by Cam in this pool, has certainly played well when called upon.

This certainly has a great game written all over it, especially from the goaltending match-up itself.  If Sweden can earn a win, Cam could move into the conversation for 2nd place in the standings, but he'll need some more help than just a win.  His team opens the day, 4 points back of Scott for 2nd place.
