The Calgary Flames were not short on adding tryouts to their roster, thanks to their players at the World Cup and some off-season injury concerns. With the release of their training camp roster yesterday, we see that forwards
Lauri Korpikoski and
Matt Frattin were among those who were added. Korpikoski is certainly the most interesting, given his NHL experience, but the Flames are struggling with their salary cap math and they still don't even have
Johnny Gaudreau under contract for the coming season. It seems highly unlikely that any of the tryouts will stick here, but they at least get to audition for other teams in a Flames uniform this Fall.
