Signed in Europe (Sep 20)

Reports on Monday morning said that Dallas Stars forward Valeri Nichushkin had his KHL rights dealt to CSKA Moscow, with the understanding that the 21-year old is not going to sign with the Stars, as long as their head coach, Lindy Ruff, was still in the job.  On Tuesday morning, the reports came down that the Russian winger did indeed sign a 2-year deal with his new KHL team, ending his current run in the NHL.

The Stars will retain his rights, thanks to qualifying him this Summer, but since Ruff still has two years left on his current deal, it doesn't seem likely that Nichushkin will make his way back any time soon.

Last season, Nichushkin had 29 points in 79 games with the Stars, just ranking him outside of the pool ranks, but still had lots of upside to achieve, making him an interesting pool target, if he was playing.
