Injuries in Columbus have forced the team to recall defenseman, Kris Russell, from Syracuse of the AHL to help fill in some of the gaps in the roster. Russell, a Box 14 defenseman, was sent down to the minors at the end of October after a lackluster opening month, only having 1 assist in 6 games.
