The St. Louis Blues have learned that they will be without one of their top forwards, Andy McDonald, for upwards of eight weeks after fracturing his leg after a terrible collision into the end boards in the Blues' last game against Montreal. The Blues have already been without Paul Kariya for the last week and a bit, but received word that he'll be back in the line-up on Friday, in their next game against Anaheim.
McDonald, a Draft pick of Wes', will now miss the next eight weeks and can't continue his torrid start of 18 points in 16 games for St. Louis, helping their productive power play succeed. The Blues power play currently sits second in the league at a 24% success rate and has been a big part of the little winning they have.
After this news and the possibility of dropping him next week, what will Wes do with McDonald, as he's still in the thick of the hunt for the money spots in the season.
