The Dallas Stars were a different team on Friday night, as they welcomed back to the line-up, Sergei Zubov, from a hip injury and Mark Parrish, their most recent free-agent signing. The Stars ended up beating up on the Anaheim Ducks, 5-2.
Zubov, a 5th round pick for Larry this year, didn't register a point in his return to the Stars, but he did log over 21 minutes of ice-time for the team, which will only go up as the season wears on. Zubov was possibly a little bit later to return than initially anticipated, but he only ended up missing 12 games, which does leave him 70 more to be a potent offensive force in the pool.
Parrish, signed by the Stars earlier in the week, made a huge splash in his first game with the Stars, scoring a hat-trick. Since Parrish was a free agent until this week, he certainly wasn't in consideration for being placed on the Sheet, let alone being drafted. Keep an eye on him, as he could be the perfect fit in Dallas and could be a reasonable addition to your Draft team, come Waiver Draft time.
