Hedican Announces His Retirement

On Wednesday, Bret Hedican officially called it a career by announcing his retirement from the NHL. Hedican played in 1,039 games in the league between St. Louis, Vancouver, Florida, Carolina and Anaheim. He had 55 goals and 239 assists in his career between the better part of 17 seasons.

In 2009 in Anaheim, Hedican only played in 51 games, scoring a goal and adding 5 assists. He wasn't likely going to be a candidate for your pool team this season.
