A shoulder injury kept Nikolai Antropov out of the Thrashers' line-up on Tuesday night against the Penguins and Wednesday morning's practice with the team. There doesn't look to be much follow-up on the injury quite yet this morning, so we can only assume that he's out day-to-day.
In 41 games this season, Antropov has 11 goals and 25 assists.
Antropov is yet another bit of bad news for the newly-moved in basement dweller of the Draft pool, John P.. John has now taken over last place in the standings with a bad start to the week and this injury does not help him on iota. For the most part, John's team has been healthy, ranking 6th in the pool in skater games played, but his team has been terrible of late in the production sense, now ranking 16th in points-per-skater game and 14th in points-per-60 minutes in the crease.
At the time of this injury, Antropov is the leader in points in Box 20 on the Sheet and has four selections in the pool as well. He has definitely been a good find in the pool this year, so hopefully this injury will not affect him long-term.
