On Tuesday night versus the Wild, defenseman Cam Barker was not in the Blackhawks line-up because of an apparent upper-body injury. The injury isn't considered to be serious by the coaching staff, so he should be considered as out day-to-day, but the nature of the injury was not disclosed, but the word "short-term" was used, so he'll probably miss another game at worst.
Barker, a Draft pick of Trevor's this season, but is part of a below-average defense corps in the pool, having a combined total of 57 points this season. The average defense team has 74 points this season, so this was definitely one of the hurting points of his season in 2010.
On the Sheet, Barker is a member of Box 12 and was somewhat popular in this pool this year, taken eight times. His 13 points this season ranks him tied for 3rd in the box, but is 8 points behind box leader, Keith Yandle of the Coyotes.
