Sutton Gets Two

A nasty looking hit on Tuesday night has now cost Islanders defenseman, Andy Sutton, two games starting on Thursday night against the Panthers. Sutton caught Pascal Dupuis of the Penguins from behind in their game last night, causing a bloody mess and some gut-wrenching replays. You can see the hit below in the embedded video.

For Sutton, who is a big guy, he doesn't really have a reputation of being a dirty player, so the hit, which is a suspend-able offense, doesn't have the repeat offender tag and two games is enough for me.

ImplicationsWould you believe that one team actually has Sutton in the Sheet pool. Sutton is available in Box 29 of the Sheet, but will be unavailable for a couple dates this week, so his value is down. In case you were wondering, Sutton's 11 points this season is just under half of what the best defender has in that box, Matt Carle with 24.
