As training camps get closer, teams and players are now finding ways to get deals done. The Devils announced on Monday morning that they have re-signed forward Adam Henrique to a new 6-year deal, reportedly worth $24 million.
Henrique didn't have a great 2013 season, scoring only 11 goals and 5 assists in the 42 games played, scoring at only 0.38 points per game, ranking 289th among all players, 200th among forwards.
I don't think there is much question that Henrique is on the verge of being a star in the league and a down year is usually a good stepping stone as a growing mechanism. I have Henrique to bounce back in my pool projections, which will be posted around the end of the week.
