Wild defenseman, Brent Burns, underwent surgery to clean out floaties in his elbow. Yes, the medical term, floaties... I said it. What more do you want? Burns had some excess something in his elbow, which was obviously causing him grief, so the doctors cleaned it all out.
The expected time of return is about four weeks, which means he will miss the bulk of training camp, which starts in two weeks and a good portion of the exhibition games. He should be alright to start the season with the Wild, which begins on October 11th, when they host the Boston Bruins.
There is a chance that he could have a slower start to the season, but his pool value should remain the same.
