The Sharks will be without forward Torrey Mitchell for two months after suffering a fractured leg. Mitchell suffered the injury on Saturday during a Monday practice session for the Sharks. This is some pretty bad news for San Jose, as Mitchell did provide some decent depth scoring as a young winger (23 years old) and was likely to improve on his 20 points in 82 games.
Mitchell is now scheduled to miss the first five weeks of the season, thanks to a few weeks left in training camp and his possible return of after November 19th would mean that he would miss about 12 games for the Sharks. Mitchell may only be able to make the 20-point mark again this year, so you may want to hold off on picking him up early this year.
