New defensive whiz kid, Tobias Enstrom, has signed a new 4-year contract extension with the Atlanta Thrashers on Wednesday. The announcement didn't come with any financial information, but it would not count against the cap this season anyways.
Enstrom, 23, had an excellent rookie campaign with Atlanta last season, playing in all 82 games, scoring 5 goals and adding 33 assists. He finished in the top 200 in pool scoring and will be a high defenseman pick in the upcoming hockey pool drafts.
This season, Enstrom will have a bit more in the way of expectations put upon him, so it will be interesting to see how that will effect the young defender, but he should still be effective, nonetheless.
