Aubin played in Los Angeles last season, seeing action in 19 games, having a record of 5-6-1. Aubin will be playing behind Martin Biron for the next several weeks, as Niittymaki will be out until late October or early November. Fantasy-wise, Aubin is only good for the weeks that Niittymaki is injured, which had only equated to about 8 games, where Aubin may only see one start. Don't get your hopes up on him at this point.

The Flyers have now opened up some more cap space with the injury to Derian Hatcher, who should be placed on the Long Term Injury Reserve, but they still have a number of holes to fill. Aubin's salary number against the cap will be small once Niittymaki returns to the line-up and Aubin gets sent down to the Phantoms, so the team only has roughly $4.6 million to use for filling five spaces on the team, not including the back-up goalie spot. Of course, there will be some spaces filled by some young players on the team, like Claude Giroux, Steve Eminger and Ryan Parent, but until they are on the team offically, their spots are still open. The Flyers will have lots of work to do, so be sure to stay tuned to their line-up changes.
