Filatov to Miss 14 Days

TSN.ca is reporting that Columbus Blue Jackets prospect, Nikita Filatov, will miss the team's rookie camp and a portion of training camp with a lower leg injury, which apparently is one that he's had for some time now.  This could hurt Filatov's immediate chances of making the jump to the big club this season and going down to the OHL for the coming year for some North American junior hockey.

Filatov has apparently been on the ice for workouts for some time already this summer, which bodes well for the young Russian winger, but he'll need to rehab this injury and try and get himself back into game shape for the remainder of training camp.

It is likely Filatov will see a pre-season game or two before any decision is made and there is also the likelihood of him playing in at least the rookie maximum amount of games in the regular season before he can be sent down to the Sudbury Wolves.
