Question: Now that Richard Zednik is ready to return to action for the Panthers, what kind of pool value does he have?
Answer: Not a great deal.
Zednik suffered a very serious throat injury last seaon and will make his triumphant return to the Panthers training camp this Fall, which is great news, but you may not want to get too excited, if you're looking towards him for your pool team.
Zednik, 32, hasn't enjoyed much success over the past couple seasons when it comes to production, mostly because of his poor luck with his health. In the past three seasons, Zednik has only managed to play 163 games, while topping out at 30 points in those seasons.
As happy as we'll all be to see him hit the ice for the Panthers in their first regular season game of the year, it would have be a very deep pool to be happy to see him in the line-up for your pool team this season. As a health risk from year-to-year, he doesn't have the odds working for him and should be considered a last resort kind of forward.
