The Islanders claimed defenseman Thomas Pock off the waiver wire from the Rangers on Monday. Pock had to clear waivers in order to be moved to the minors today, but the Islanders thought he would be a good fit for their system right away.
Last season, Pock only appeared in one game for the Rangers, not registering a point. The Islanders already have quite a few defensemen in their stable, especially those who could play right away. Right now, Pock would be eighth on the depth chart (roughly) and likely isn't going to be a good fantasy pick-up.
