The Oilers assigned three players to Springfield of the AHL on Tuesday, including Gilbert Brule, a Selection Sheet player in Box 9. Brule, acquired from Columbus in the off-season, was thought to be a pretty good fit in the Oilers system, but it doesn't seem to be to start the season and he'll be working on his trade down in the minors. Avoid Brule for the time being, but he is a good candidate for an injury recall.The Oilers roster is now sitting at 26 players, but when the final roster is out, a team update will be available.
