Philly Acquires Alberts

The Phiadelphia Flyers acquired defenseman Andrew Alberts from the Boston Bruins on Monday for forward Ned Lukacevic and a fourth round pick in 2009. Alberts was acquired to sure up the blueline for the Flyers, as the Bruins have a good lot of talent coming up the ranks.

As you can see, neither team has much for pool value, as Alberts wasn't picked to make the top six in Boston, while Lukacevic is trying his best in the minors to get better and finally make the NHL. The inclusion of Alberts to the line-up in Philadelphia will hopefully help fill the gap left behind by Randy Jones, who is out for the long-term.
