Box 9 forward, Jack Skille, has been sent down to the minors by the Blackhawks on Tuesday, as they recalled non-pool forward, Troy Brouwer, to take his place in the line-up.Skille was thought to be one of the good up-and-coming youngsters on the Blackhawks, but he hasn't seem to pull any of that potential through in his first six games of the season, only registering one goal.
I do believe there has been a selection or two used on Skille in the pool, but panic should not ensue just yet, as he is very close to earning a full-time job, he might need to get his confidence back up in the AHL before continuing on in his NHL career. He should be called back up sooner, rather than later.
