The Flyers blueline received word of a big blow today. Randy Jones, picked by Dale C. in the Draft, will be meeting with a surgeon to discuss possible work done on his hip. If the surgery is to go ahead, Jones could be out for the next eight weeks.
This comes as a huge blow, as Jones was their best offensive weapon on the blueline for Philadelphia and they are already missing out on possible breakthrough defenseman, Ryan Parent, for 12 weeks.
Can the Rangers take advantage of this bad news on Saturday? We'll see if they have to on Friday when Jones gets word from the doctors.
