The Thrashers made their last few cuts on Monday afternoon, leaving the team with their 23-man roster. At first glance, this team could be a bit of an offensive powerhouse, trying to plainly outscore their opponents. Up front,
Ilya Kovalchuk is going to continue to be a force, with help from
Slava Kozlov. On the blueline, they have a bundle of talent that can move the puck, but their defensive play is a tad questionable. Rookie
Zach Bogosian has made the team and will likely see limited ice-time to start the season, but he will likely earn more time as the season wears on.
| Forwards | Defense | Goaltenders |

The Thrashers don't have anything to worry about when it comes to the salary cap. Atlanta has a very low cap hit of $44.6 million and could be an active team at the trade deadline, if their offense can keep them in the division race, down in the Southeast. A move for a defensive veteran defenseman will likely be their target come February.
