The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Wednesday afternoon that Jared Boll was placed on the IR because of a head & neck injury, but for pool reasons, this piece of news is important because the team recalled Nikita Filatov from Syracuse to fill his spot.Filatov, picked in the Draft by Chris and is also an option in Box 9 of the Sheet, will join the team for practice with a chance that he will dress with the big club sooner rather than later. Of course, he'll have to make it through a practice to determine whether or not he'll play. Of course, if he doesn't perform up to that certain standard, the team won't keep him from playing games and will likely send him down. For these purposes however, he'll likely get a shot to play with the club.
