Isles Sign Biron

The Islanders are looking less and less confident in their franchise goaltender, as they have now signed Martin Biron, who was the best free agent fantasy player remaining as of yesterday, to a new 1-year deal worth $1.4 million. This comes on the heels of an early frenzy signing of Dwayne Roloson to a 2-year deal. This now means that the Islanders have three goaltenders who could be a number one just about anywhere in the league signed on for their team this season.

Biron finished the 2009 season with 66 pool points thanks to 29 wins, 2 shutouts and 4 assists in Philadelphia. He ranked 15th among all goalies in the league, also finished 62nd in the entire league in pool points.
