A pretty big deal today from the Maple Leafs, as they finally sent Pavel Kubina away and they ended up getting a lot grittier with the pick-up of Garnet Exelby. This deal will also open up some cap space for the Maple Leafs, which is a very big win-win for the Leafs. The Thrashers did improve their offense from their blueline, which could be helpful in extending the contract of Ilya Kovalchuk, so there is a great improvement there.
