After a season where he got a shot to play a lot of games, Marc Methot earned himself a brand new contract with the Blue Jackets, which will keep him in Columbus for the next two seasons. Methot will also be a cap hit just over $1 million for each of those two seasons as well.In 66 games for Columbus, Methot scored 4 goals and added 13 assists. Those numbers ranked him 110th among defenders, which would be fantasy-worthy if you're in a deep pool. He should be a regular fixture on the blueline and if he can get over 75 games, he could be worth just that much more.
