A disappointing year came after a career year for Eric Perrin and he was not able to find a new home in the NHL, so he took an offer to play a season in Russia. Perrin signed a 1-year deal with Avangard Omsk in the KHL on Wednesday.In 2009, Perrin finished with only 23 points in 78 games with the Thrashers.
