The Capitals look to have gotten rid of that huge contract that Michael Nylander had left around the office, as he has signed on with Dynamo Minsk in the KHL, thus ending his contract (with a huge cap hit) in Washington. Nylander and his $4.875 million cap hit, both until the end of this season and next season, won't be on the Capitals books thanks to a new European deal.
If you were holding onto him in hopes of some more offense in your hockey pool, you lost the gamble. Abort! Abort!
