The Dallas Stars saw the return of three players to their line-up, which meant there had to be some scratches for their game against the Flames. With Mike Modano, Jere Lehtinen and Marty Turco back, Jeff Woywitka was one of a few players scratched, also including Krys Barch and Toby Petersen. Still, having their regulars back wasn't enough to pull out a win against the Flames.
The Coyotes were without forward Scottie Upshall for their game against the Avalanche on Wednesday. Upshall was scratched from the Phoenix line-up due to a lower-body injury. It was Upshall's injury which led to the team actually recalling Mikael Boedker earlier in the week, so this injury may be enough to keep Upshall out of the line-up for a week, if not a little bit more.
Okay, do either of these scratches have any implications to anyone on the Sheet? Woywitka is a Box 14 defenseman, taken zero times and Upshall is a Box 4 forward taken zero times. Let's just call this update an FYI for everyone in the Sheet pool, shall we?
