In Phoenix on Thursday night, the Coyotes had two new injuries and a scratch to report. Before the game versus Chicago, it was announced that Zbynek Michalek will be out of the line-up on a week-to-week basis, due to a lower-body injury. There was no immediate word as to what the actual injury is, but that's a fairly long-term situation for a minor injury. Ed Jovanovski left Thursday night's game with a lower-body injury, but no details have been confirmed there, so there is no confirmation as to whether or not he'll miss any time going forward. With the return of Scottie Upshall to the line-up, recent call-up, Mikael Boedker, was a healthy scratch for the evening. There's no word as to whether or not he'll be sent back down yet.
There's only one Draft pick of the three players out of action above and that's Jovanovski. He's a pick of Clayton's and his play has help lead Clayton into the money positions in the week, so his presence will be missed.
On the Sheet, Jovanovski was taken zero times, Michalek was taken once and Boedker was taken zero times. If Michalek is going to be week-to-week, an upgrade to James Wisniewski may be in order, as he leads Box 13 in points.
