The Canucks are reporting more injuries to go along with some of the others that have accumulated through camp. Rookie, Jannik Hansen, broke his finger in the 4-0 win over Calgary the other night and will probably be out for 2-3 weeks, more than likely eliminating him from the mix for a job to start the season.
Defenseman, Kevin Bieksa, didn't dress against Edmonton on Thursday night because of an illness, but the prognosis is good for Bieksa to be alright sooner rather than later.
The list of sore groins seems to grow by the day as well in Canuck camp. Trevor Linden, Brendan Morrison and Willie Mitchell are all suffering from the ailment, but none are really in doubt for the opener a couple weeks from now.
Don't forget Sami Salo is also out with his wrist injury. Salo will probably miss a week or two of the regular season, but even that is still rather unclear. Oh yeah... and Aaron Miller is still a week or so away from coming back from his abdominal surgery.
The Canucks did pick up veteran defenseman, Dan McGillis on a pro tryout to compete for a job with Luc Bourdon and Alexander Edler. Lots to watch and note in Vancouver.
