The NHL is almost full of Sutters again. Brett in Calgary and Brandon in Carolina are excelling in their respective camps and have survived cuts so far this Fall. The two kids who have had defense preached to them have obviously made an impact with their future coaching staffs in the NHL.
Brett Sutter, a 6th round pick in 2005, is giving his all to make the Flames this Fall and has survived a couple cuts over the last couple days. His size is a little troublesome at 5'11", but he seems to be pressing the right buttons for Mike Keenan to keep him.
Brandon Sutter, a 1st round pick in 2007, starred in the SuperSeries for Canada against Russia and his style of play, both offensively and defensively, has impressed the coaching staff in Carolina and it wouldn't necessarily be a surprise if he gets a deal done to stay in Raliegh this winter. He may just get his 10 games before being sent back to the minors without harm to his free agency period.
Just one more thing to watch out for through camp... make it two.
