Sportsnet was reporting this past week that the inside track for the new two centre job is given to Matthew Lombardi. Daymond Langkow remains the number one guy, while Craig Conroy has gotten bumped down to the number three spot.
Lombardi finished up last season with 46 points, including 20 goals, last season and with the potential of linemates like Alex Tanguay or Kristian Huselius would make Lombardi a very attractive prospect. His stock should rise into the 50-60 point range... a breakout season, if you will.
