The Edmonton Oilers will unveil their new jerseys officially today while playing the Joey Moss Cup inter-squad game. In the line-up for the inter-squad game is Anson Carter, who has joined the Oilers on a pro tryout basis, trying to crack the squad for a second time.
Carter scored 28 goals in 82 games in 2001/02 with the Oilers and may provide a bit more depth on the wing, if he was to get signed. He'll be playing on a line with Rob Schremp and Kyle Brodziak in the game this afternoon, which might bode well for him if he can click with Schremp. Carter will have to battle with Robert Nilsson, Ryan O'Marra, Marc Pouliot and Patrick Thoreson for the job on the right wing.
