You'll now notice that if there are any players drafted in the Opiated Sherpa's pool, they will be highlighted with links to their pool team. Once the Selection Sheet pool is in full flight, you'll probably see more links to it as well.
The Hurricanes beat Nashville last night, 3-0, on Friday night and it was Cam Ward (Stuart) who stopped 18 shots for the shutout. Ward is in need of a rebound season and with his youth... and experience already, he is a qualified keeper when it comes to possibly having a big comeback year. At least Stuart hopes that he'll have a rebound season.
A hat-trick! A hat-trick! I do believe this is the first trick of the preseason and it was Mikko Koivu who lit the lamp three times against Chicago on Friday night. The Wild needed Koivu's trio to beat the Blackhawks 5-4, in a hotly contested battle. Koivu should have the bulk of the second line duties and will more likely be a big pick-up in the Sherpa's draft in the Waiver Draft in the mid-season. If you have a chance to pick up Koivu, you may want to, as he doesn't look to disappoint this season.
