Hey all... I thought I would write the note here on the news page, just to make sure everyone is aware of it. The standings are located on http://www.opiatedsherpa.com/2008season/draft/draftstandings.htm and are available all the time. Once the season starts, the page will hopefully be updated every day... but some days that just won't be possible. Thankfully, there's a spot where it tells you when the page was last updated, so you'll always know.
The website has all the teams listed now and all you have to do is click the links that the names on the standings and you'll be able to see who everyone has picked. The site will grow to have all the particular information that I usually have, including the whole list of players taken and the news.
Come back to this site for the weekly newsletter, where I'll give you the Player of the Week, the Mover & Shaker of the Week and the Basement Dweller. Oh... you don't wanna be the basement dweller.
As for the prizes, the Draft only managed to get 17 participants for a prize pool of $850. First prize will be $600, second will be $200 and third place will get their money back at $50.
We will have two Waiver Drafts, where we'll be able to drop two players and pick up replacement players at the same time. Mark the dates on your calendar as they will occur on the week of November 26th - November 30th (Week 10) and February 4 - February 8th (Week 20). The Waiver Drafts run a week long, as not everyone can look at their lists at the same time and it will all occur over the e-mail. More details will come closer to the draft days.
There are 30 weeks in the season this year, starting on November 29th, and weeks will run from Monday to Sunday, with the newsletter for the previous week published on the Sunday night or Monday morning.
