Predators Slim Down

The Nashville Predators slimmed down their training camp roster by a bunch and (personally) surprisingly sent down young defender, Cody Franson. I thought he was going to be one of the new young ones of the blueline for the Predators, since they really like their young talent in Weber, Suter and Hamhuis.

With Steve Sullivan out of the line-up until December, the Predators are actually in need of a major signing to bring their salary number up above the league minimum of $34 million. With the 22 active players listed above, the Predators are only sitting at $29.7 million. You might think that they are hoping that Teemu Selanne (Wes) would come out of his retirement thoughts for $5 million.
