2015 Draft Class Signings (Sep 25)

With the Boston Bruins losing defensemen in training camp and the preseason to injury, it should come as no surprise that the team decides to sign on one of their young standout draft picks from this past Summer, Brandon Carlo. Carlo signed his 3-year entry-level deal on Friday, amidst word that Zdeno Chara is out day-to-day with an upper-body injury and Dennis Seidenberg is out long-term with a back injury.

Carlo was taken with the 37th overall draft pick, a 2nd rounder, and has been drawing some good reviews thus far in Bruins camp.  Since he is still there after some early demotions to both juniors and the minors, seems to give the impression that he is doing quite well in camp.

It is still a bit early to start throwing projections out at this kid right now, just because there is no real guarantee if he's going to make the club or not at the moment.  Even if he does make it out of camp and on the roster, he's still eligible to be sent back to junior after nine games, avoiding a lost year on his entry-level deal.  Of course, if the blueline is still hurting and the team hasn't made any deals to help their cause out, they might be on to something with this kid.
