After bringing him on as a professional tryout, the Chicago Blackhawks made it official, that defenseman Michal Roszival will be participating in camp as a signed player, part of the roster coming out of camp. Roszival signed a 1-year deal, reportedly worth $600,000, plus bonuses.
Roszival, 37, helped the Hawks to their Cup win last season and will provide that much needed experience to a lineup that has been taken apart and reassembled through their cap troubles.
In the 2015 regular season, Roszival finished 139th among all defensemen in scoring with 14 points in 65 games. It will have to be a pretty deep draft for Roszival to really play much of a part in it this year.
