As the training camp rosters are slowly trickling out, so are the remainder of the camp invites and I'll continue to look at some of the fringe players that could make an impact, including the Colorado Avalanche inviting defenseman Andrej Meszaros to their camp.
Last season with the Sabres, the 29-year old defender played in 60 games, picking up 7 goals and 14 points, ranking 116th among all defenders in scoring.
It does seem like a bit of a long shot that Meszaros would make the Avalanche roster through camp, especially given that this team is full of depth at the position, but you just never know. I have the Avs with seven defensemen on their projected roster, before the likes of Nikita Zadorov, Duncan Siemens or Brandon Gormley get a chance to show their stuff.
