The Nashville Predators have again opted to send forward Kevin Fiala back down to Milwaukee of the AHL on Tuesday afternoon, after only posting 2 goals in 10 games with the big club, since his recall. The Predators are likely getting healthier, after they lost a couple of players in the preseason and they will give their top prospect a little bit more ice-time in the AHL to help hone his skills.
For Stacey M., this was a home run swing that has now been fouled off and she'll have to wait for another injury to a Nashville roster player before he makes his return. Stacey's team currently sits in 19th, already 25 points out of the money and might have to sit with him in the minors for another few weeks yet.
The Buffalo Sabres appear to be ready to welcome Evander Kane back in their lineup, as they move closer to being healthy. Kane has been out for a few weeks with some cracked ribs after falling awkwardly into the boards against the Canadiens on opening night.
Finally some good news for Tony's team, which is mired in a 3-way tie for 22nd place, only 3 points better than last place at the moment. If Kane can jump right into action tonight and have an impact, Tony's team can start clawing back some key points or pick up a bunch of PIM.
The return of Kane couldn't come at a better time, as Tyler Ennis is now expected to miss tonight's game against the Senators with a mid-body injury, probably the most annoying description of an injury in the league today. There is no timetable for his return, but one would just assume that he's day-to-day with the injury, as of right now.
Ennis has not been very productive for Stuart in the pool, thus far, only having 1 goal and 1 assist in his first 12 games this season. He is currently ranked 480th in pool scoring, but will surely drop with time missed. Despite this lack of production, Stuart's team is still in the mix up top, with his team in 4th place, 5 points out of 3rd.
