Stacey M. was able to sneak out her win on Thursday night, so we're officially on Troy watch, as we head into the weekend with Friday night's schedule ahead of us.
And fortunately for Troy, Jaroslav Halak has been tapped to go for the Islanders tonight, but as much as the game is at home in Brooklyn, they are welcoming the Pittsburgh Penguins to town and they are rolling. Matt Murray is getting the call for Scott tonight, but either way, it was going to be a tough goaltending match-up.
We'll have Henrik Lundqvist versus Sergei Bobrovsky going head-to-head tonight in Columbus, in an already qualified battle. Grant's goalie will get the call against Mike's. Both teams have 10 points this week and are in that conglomerate of teams in the middle of the pack. A win either way would shift things around well.
Benson is looking for another share of the pool lead tonight, starting the night 3 points out of 1st, and he'll have Jimmy Howard in net for the Red Wings again tonight, getting plenty of value out of this pick. The Wings are in Washington and they'll get the 1st overall pick in the draft, but 35th overall in scoring, Braden Holtby, as he goes for the Capitals for Jeremy.
Brian will hope that the lead will remain his, as he will also have a goalie going tonight in Carolina. Cam Ward will give him another start, but there's also a tough test in line for his keeper, as Al Montoya and the Canadiens are in town to stir up some trouble. Brian's team continues to be red hot, leading the pool again in weekly scoring, 21 points coming into Friday night.
In the late game on Friday, the Blackhawks are in Calgary to take on the Flames. Marcin gets a start from Corey Crawford, while John S. gets the benefit of another start from Chad Johnson, who is making his third straight start for the Flames. Marcin is still hanging in 3rd place, while John trails him by 11 points, down in 5th. This would be a good game to close up that gap a little bit.
